Drytech® Tank
The Drytech® White Tank System is based on a single structure made of Drytech watertight concrete and the waterproofing of construction details by injection of expanding DRYflex resin.
It’s a simple, sound, advanced solution which ensures:

Advice is on-going to designers and building firms, transferring the solutions and experience gained from involvement in 1,000 construction sites every year throughout Europe to your construction site.

Concrete mix design is developed by Drytech based on the characteristics of structures chosen by customers.

Drytech waterproof concrete

The Drytech waterproof concrete mix design manages and controls this.
The Drytech mix design is aimed at having concrete which gradually gains strength and stability, is cohesive and not rigid, which combined with Drytech crack inducers helps avoid random cracks.
Drytech Engineering adapts the mix design to suit the characteristics of the structure chosen by the customer at no additional cost and without additives.
Drytech Engineering carries out checks on construction both on site and in the laboratory to ensure the waterproofing qualities defined in the mix design are transferred to the structure.

DRYset Components required for injecting specific construction details
The various components in the DRYset system are used to prepare specific construction details to ensure rapid and capillary resin distribution.
Channels, sleeves and DRYset crack inducers are laid by Drytech technicians with no impact on the works calendar and installation is not affected by weather conditions (DRYset components are made of materials which do not react with water).

> Crack inducers are installed between steel and are suitable for any thickness of concrete bed, wall and floor slab.

DRYset Penetrations

DRYset Expansion Joints
Expansion joints are waterproofed using DRYset Waterstop D injectable tapes.
As well as extending the path of water, like traditional waterstop tapes, it is possible – in the case of infiltration – to inject joints with DRYflex expanding resin, via predrilled channels in the tape.

DRYset Waterproof diaphragms
Diaphragms can be waterproofed directly by inserting injectable waterstop tapes in the joints between diaphragms.
The special DRYset Waterstop have predrilled channels – easily accessible from inside the structure – to allow maintenance injections against any infiltration.

DRYflex Waterproofing resin
Specific construction details are waterproofed via injections of DRYflex expanding resin: it’s a two-component acrylic resin which seals joints, cracks and penetrations through pressure, throughout the whole thickness of the structure.

DRYflex Structural barrier
DRYflex resin and Drytech waterproof concrete together form a waterproof barrier the same thickness as the underground structure since the structure corresponds to the waterproofing.

DRYflex Liquid and foam
> DRYflex is liquid like water when injected and, like water, it takes on the shape of the cavity which it is filling: from concrete voids, to gravel pockets.
> In just a short time, the elastic resin catalyses, transforming into a foam gel which seals through pressure (not through adhesion!).
> The seal can be checked by visual inspection.

DRYflex Used independently and is elastic
> DRYflex resin is injected from inside the structure when the concrete has been cured.
> Injecting is carried out independently from other activities on the construction site, so that waterproofing can be eliminated from Gantt charts.
> Effectiveness of the injection – or better, filling of a specific construction detail – is immediately visible and the elastic nature of the resin ensures injections can be repeated if necessary.
> It’s also effective in the presence of water under pressure.

DRYflex Respects the environment
DRYflex contains no solvents and, when used in its standard formulations, it does not affect the environment in any way.
It is therefore also used in the drinking water industry.
The polymerized finished product can be disposed of in an incinerator with domestic waste in.
In accordance with European requirements the resin is not considered a dangerous substance for transportation.
Maintenance The guarantee for waterproofing
Would you buy a car if the tyre couldn’t be replaced in the case of a puncture? A waterproofing system that doesn’t permit maintenance is like a disposable car. Not only does the Drytech Tank allow you to carry out maintenance, but it can be done quickly and is non-invasive. Not only can you replace the tyre but you can do it while the car continues to move.
Setting aside metaphors, the need for maintenance of any waterproofing system is fundamental as well as underrated. Theoretically all systems work. In the real world, unexpected things occur which can however be easily foreseeable: from the human factor during laying, to common hitches during construction (backfill which rips a sheet or reinforcement which makes a hole in a membrane).
The Drytech Tank always allows waterproofing to be re-established by injecting DRYflex expanding resin from the underside of the structure. Since the Drytech Tank is a single structure, the cause and effect of any infiltrations can be verified in the same place, enabling accurate work to be carried out and results can be checked immediately by visual inspection. There is no requirement to block the structure.
For the same reason, Drytech maintenance systems are also used in the restoration of other types of waterproofing.
